Autumn newsletter out

posted in: Newsletters | 0

Members will be receiving their autumn newsletter within the next few days. It contains news of our recent virtual meetings and lectures, our work on planning applications and other developments in the Borough. Our Chairman has written a summary of our work over the last few months since our Summer newsletter, in particular our objections to the Gurnell Leisure Centre and Manor Road tower site proposals. We are also concerned about the recent government planning white paper and will be reviewing the paper in detail and responding to the consultation. Filmworks and Crossrail have been delayed by the pandemic but works are proceeding. We report on the battle to save 178 Church Road Hanwell, a unique arts and crafts house, from demolition. We have the latest news about Gunnersbury Park which has suffered many setbacks this year. Finally you might be interested in a brief account of the collection of self guided Ealing walks we’ve created in time for the Open House Festival 19-27 September.  See more details on the new Walks page of our website.
