Fortunately it was good weather on Saturday 14 October when a group of Society members and friends set off to walk between Pitzhanger Manor and the Soane Museum, “In the Footsteps of John Soane”. Josette Bishop, who had organised the walk, gave us a long list of buildings, plaques and other features to look out for, and found excellent coffee and pub stops along the way. We walked over 8 miles but still had the energy to visit the wonderful Soane Museum. Soane apparently often did this walk.
