The Society regularly comments on major planning applications in the Borough. In late May to July 2016 our Environment Committee considered 25 planning applications from all parts of the Borough. We objected to several schemes including the construction of: 2 apartment blocks on open green space with mature trees in Eastcote Lane, Northolt; 556 dwellings on Metropolitan Open Land which is also a flood plain next to Gurnell Leisure Centre W13; an extension and extra floors on a building near Ealing Town Hall; and a 21 storey mixed use development on Merrick Rd Southall.
