Our Civic Day event this year is to Perivale Wood, a 27 acre nature reserve in Ealing. Alas there will be no bluebells on 16 June, but we’ll have a talk from John Sears about the new Bluebell Centre and a tour of the reserve by Andy Pedley. The whole visit should last about 90 minutes. So bring walking shoes plus insect repellent if you tend to get bitten. The entrance to the reserve is between 34 and 36 Sunley Gardens Perivale UB6 7PE. It’s a short walk from the Perivale tube station on the Central Line. Meet at 2PM just inside the entrance to the reserve on Saturday 16 June.
