Pitzhanger on target

Over 70 people enjoyed a wonderful talk by Georgina Nayler, Deputy Chair of Pitzhanger Manor Trust, on 23 May. She described the painstaking work being done to restore John Soane’s country home, Ealing’s only Grade 1 listed building. The aim of the project is to preserve the building, minus its Victorian addition, and to leave it how it was in 1810. New grade A museum space is being created which will enable 3 high quality exhibitions of art and architecture per year. Finally, a brasserie is being constructed in the rose garden. It is hoped that the project will be finished by May or June 2018. The team are busy working on creating a much higher profile for the Manor both locally and nationally.
