The winner of the award was Dormers Wells High School which was rebuilt as part of the Building for Schools Programme. The architects of the £30 million project were Nicholas Hare Architects. The architect Tom Jestico concluded that “children at this school should count themselves very lucky to have such wonderful facilities”. Hotel Xanadu was highly commended and 3 other projects were commended. Full details of the shortlist and pictures of the winning projects are on our Awards page.
