Gunnersbury MuseumBoth recent bids to the HLF (Heritage Lottery Fund) have been successful. There is initial support for a £4.6m bid under the Parks for People programme, and the project team now has up to 2 years to submit fully developed proposals to compete for a firm award. There is also initial support for a £3.8m HLF bid, including £386,400 development funding, to restore the Large Mansion and upgrade the museum. We celebrated Civic Day on Saturday 23 June at Gunnersbury. The project team responsible for the 2 HLF bids talked about their plans and conducted a walk around the park to illustrate what the restoration will cover. Meanwhile information about the regeneration of Gunnersbury Park is available on the London Borough of Hounslow website, and in a short film entitled Gunnersbury 2026. Join the Friends of Gunnersbury Park and Museum to stay updated on developments.
